Once upon a time there was a boy named Jake who was bored and decided to go outside and find something to do. When he got outside he saw his friends so he went to see them. When he got there he had to solve an integer question which was (+9) + (-3) to solve it Jake used algebra tiles and the answer that he got was +6. After Jake answered the question he could now play with his friends. Later when he finished playing with his friends, Jake went to the store to buy a drink and some food because he was thirsty and hungry after playing so much. When he got to the store he saw a ruffian, so Jake stayed very quiet on the side wall of the store so the ruffian didn't see him or hear him and he also saw people hiding so they didn't get seen also and looking to the right someone had a knife and I talked to them quietly so I wouldn't get caught and they slid it across to me very gently. Now the ruffian was leaving so it was Jake's time to take a risk but before Jake could walk up to him he had to answer another integer question which was (+20) +(-13) to solve the integer question Jake used a number line and he got +7for his answer then he was allowed to walk fast, but for only a limited amount each time so Jake used his power wisely so he could catch up with the ruffian without him noticing he was there now when the ruffian turned around I would hide in the aisles and then come out. Now he was in arm distance so I could attack him but when I tired to attack him but he saw me and grabbed me, then put a knife to my chin, at that point I knew it was over. Then out of nowhere I heard a voice it was saying “if you answer this integer question you will beat the ruffian and win". The question was (-25) + (+53) now he solved the question with the money method I have 53 and I owe 25 and the answer that he came up with was +28. When he answer the question correctly he gained magical powers to defeat the ruffian and save the all the people in the store. After everybody cheered and thanked him for saving there lives, Jake had finally bought what he came here to the store for was for a drink and some food.
After having his drink and eating his food Jake kept on walking to find out what would come next. As he was walking he noticed that someone was getting bullied so he ran up and told them to stop bulling them but the bully didn't care and kept on going. At that point Jake grabbed the bully and told him to stop firmly and then the bully said only if you can answer this integer question (+30) +(-175) , Jake then answered -145 then the bully was amazed that he got the right answer because nobody got it before when he asked them. Now the bully was scared and stop bulling the person because he thought that he might have a plan to do something to him, the bully then left not knowing what to say. to be continued


Last time we heard about are friend Jake was when he stop a bully.
Now we continue our story when Jake scared the bully away.


It had been a couple days since Jake saved that kid from getting bullied.

Then when Jake was just minding his own business he heard a cry for help.
Jake wondered where the person was yelling from because he couldn't see anybody that needed his help. So then Jake followed the voice, he kept on following it but still couldn't find it. Now Jake was thinking it was a joke but out of nowhere he heard a voice saying "if you can answer this subtracting question I will grant you a tracking device so you can find the person. The question was (+19) - (-91). Jake knew that you don't subtract integers you add there opposites, so Jake rewrote the question (+19) + (+91) and the answer he got was +110. Then the voice granted his wish and Jake got a tracking device as promised. Then Jake used the tracking device to find the person in trouble. When he got to where the tracking device said where the person was he found a note on the ground that said "Please help me I have been taken to a deserted island (in the pacific ocean) and they have left me here, please help if you are reading this, from for some strange reason the name was scribbled out so Jake couldn't read who it was from .

Then it said in very small print that only Jake could read was If you answer this integer question I will tell you where I am and the question was 8- (-7)+3 +(-5) Jake then rewrote the question so it read 8+ (+7)+3 +(-5) and the answer Jake got was positive 13 so still in small print it said Ouvéa. Jake didn't know a place called Ouvéa so now Jake was going to the Library. Now Jake was worried about this person so he went to run to his house to get his stuff and after go to the Library . But while Jake was getting out of the place where he was he got swung upside down
with a rope tied to his leg and then someone popped out of the bushes and. To be continued

Aaron's Integers Story

Once upon a time in a prairie, a little, fuzzy, cute rabbit that was looking for food for his family. One day the cute rabbit's family got really hungry so he started to search for food. He was hopping along the the grass until he faced a very scary wolf. To defeat this scary wolf he needed to answer a question, which was (+7)+(-3). He used have and owe.
When he figured it out the cute rabbit defeated the scary wolf and continued his journey.

When he continued along the trail he found a tree. And on that tree had an apple hanging there. The cute little rabbit wanted to get it. To get this magnificent apple he needed to answer another question which he found on the bark of the tree. The question was (+3)+(-8). This time he used algebra tiles. When the rabbit answered this question the wind blew the apple off the branch and landed in the cute little rabbit's paws.

The rabbit got a little tired from walking all that way to get some food so he wanted to go back home. He started to walk back where he came from but, it started to rain. He needed a leaf to cover himself. He saw a very big plant but to pull this leaf off he needed to answer a question. The question was found beside the plant in the mud. The question was (-4)+(-9). This time he used a number line.

Then the rabbit had something to cover him but his paws were dirty but at least he won't get wet.

When the rabbit got to his den he saw his family waiting for him. There was a fox on top of the den. He got scared of what might happen to his family. To get this fox far away from his home he needed to scare the fox by going super saiyan. He can't go super saiyan unless he answered a question. The question was on a leaf that fell from the sky. The question was (+3)+(+14). The rabbit used standard math. He became a super saiyan and saved his family from the fox.

When he hopped to his den, the rabbit saw one of his baby rabbits missing. When he turned around he saw a really big bird carrying the baby rabbit away.

The rabbit was very scared of what might happen to his child so he followed the big bird. He kept hopping along the very wet trail while following the bird. The bird was really far away so the rabbit couldn't keep up for long so he had to figure out what to do. He was very tired of hopping all that way so he took a rest beside a tree. When he got up to the tree a really big bird came and ask if he was lost. The rabbit told him of what happened so the the big bird decided to help but, the rabbit must first answer a question. The question was (-7)-(+5). The rabbit was confused with this one because he never saw a question like this before. When he got confused the big bird helped him out and this is what they got.
When the rabbit answered the bird's question he climbed up to his back carefully so he wouldn't fall down. When the bird was ready for lift off, he asked if the rabbit was ready. The rabbit said he was ready and all he needed was in this bag. When the bird got off the ground, they spotted the really big bird ahead. They were really far behind so they needed to do something. The rabbit forgot that he had some bows and arrows in his bag so he decided to hit the really big bird. He couldn't get a lock on her because the bird he was riding was wobbly.
" Can you stay still?" the rabbit asked.
"If you answer my question," the bird replied.
The question was (+7)-(-9)+(-11). The rabbit answered the question as best as he could and got this as an answer.
When the rabbit answered the question he got a lock on the really big bird and shot him with the arrow. The rabbit was very pleased with his shot and the bird was starting to fall.

Once upon a time there was a girl name Elmane was really bored so she decided to go to her friends house when she got to her friend shanielle's house they decided to go to polo park when they were walking their was a really big box they decided to open it, when they opened it their was a integer question in it but they had to answer it when they answered it they continued walking and then they waited for the buss and then they got to polo park and then Elmane wanted to a pair of shoes she has $50.00 and the shoes she wanted to buy is $30.00. So she have $50.00 and if she buy that she going to owe $30.00 and her money will be $20.00. And then they went home. Elmane was really happy because she has a really nice pair of shoes.

One day when I was walking down the hall, I heard my friends talking about Integers. I didn't want to ask them what integer was, so i researched in the library computer. Next day, when I walked in Mr. Harbeck's class, it was a coinsidence because he was talking about integers too. What i learned about integers is:

There is a positive and negative in integers. Here is an example how positive integer looks like :

Now, if you want to add them together, you have to use zero pair. Zero pair is an equation that involves two operations (positive and negative). Here's how it looks like when you add them using a zero pair.

Elmane's Interger story

Part 1

One afternoon there was a teenager named Charmaiy, she loves to add intergers, she could answer any question as long that it is an interger question. She was walking home from school when all the sudden she saw this little kid named Jayj. Jayj love doing math, he was the most smartest little kid in grade 5. Charmaiy was shocked to hear that, so she demand him to have a bet in intergers.

The little kid said "okay, fine. If I win you have to fix my bike or give me $50.00 so I can pay someone to fix my bike, deal?"
"okay, deal!" said Charmaiy.
"Next week on Saturday, be ready! Its going to be on intergers!" said Charmaiy in a fearful voice.
"okay, this bet is going to be easy!" said the little kid in a wierd look.
Then walked away from a different direction heading home. Later on, when she was at home, she started heading upstairs to her bedroom and started finishing her homework.
She always do the homework in math then the others. After a few hours, she started heading downstairs with her little notebook to practice on while she eats. She kept studying day after day. In the next morning she was getting ready for school. Once she left, she saw the little kid again, Charmaiy stared at the little kid, and so as the little kid. They were like enemies, teenager vs. the little kid. She walked pass him and kept walking, in her mind she knew that the little boy was going to lose the bet, because his just a little kid. She was laughing so load that the all neighbours were looking her strangly. She kept walking and kept her mouth shut. A few minutes later, she was at school and do her work. Every lunch hour she would go outside and study about intergers. She made the bet so can prove that she is "The Smart One".

A week later on Saturday.
"Today's the day!" said Charmaiy.

She went to the little boys front yard and waited for the little kid to come out of the door. A few minutes, the boy went outside and walked towards her, and said "Today's the day". "I know!" said Charmaiy.

The little boy's grandmother knew that we were having a bet, so she wrote the questions to make sure they don't cheat. His grandmother gave us the sheet that has 1 question in it.

"What the... theres only one easy question on the paper!!" said Charmaiy in a confusing voice.
"What did you say honey?". The little boy's grandmother said.
"She can't realy hear you, because she death and she has hearing problems, so.. yeah". The little boy said.
"Ohh... then nevermind then". Said Charmaiy.
"Did you say something dear?". Boy's grandmother said.
"I SAID NEVER MIND!!!!". said Charmaiy in a very loud voice.
"Just... just... for get about that, okay? And chill..." said the little boy.
"(sigh)" said Charmaiy.
"OKAY LETS BEGIN!!" said the little boy beside his grandmother's ears.
"Ohh.. okay dear" said the little boys grandmother.

Her grandmother gave them the big piece of sheet that only has one easy question on it.

"Ready... set... go...!!" said the little boy's grandmother in a very quiet voice.
The question was:




Charmaiy and Jayj begins writting their answer on the peice of paper and telling how they got the answer.
A few moments later, Charmaiy and Jayj were done and the told the old lady that they were done. The little boy's grandmother can tell that they were done, so she started heading to where they are and checks their paper.

"The answer is +2 right!!" said the little boy.
"No... the answer is -2!!" said Charmaiy.
"Ohh be quiet, (cough) the answer is .... (cough) answer is... (cough)is... IS...(cough) ...is" said the little boy's grandmother.

They had their fingers crossed hoping that one of them have the right answer.
"So... what is it??" Charmaiy said.
"IS...(cough)" said the little boy's grandmother
"Tell us!!" said the little boy
"The answer is ... (more coughing) is..." said the little boy's grandmother.
"Ohh come on grandma!! say it!!"said Charmaiy.
"(more coughing) .. ohh be patience, im just going to get some water." said the little boy's grandmother.
"(sigh)" said Charmaiy and so as the little boy.

A few minutes later, the old lady came outside and starts heading to where there at.
"Okay, the answer is ... ohh wait i think i left the fridge open." said the little boy's grandmother.
"Ohh.. come on!!" said Charmaiy.
"Ohh im just kidding dear (laugh)" said the little boy's grandmother.
"But anyways, the answer is ... +2!!" said the little boy's grandmother.

Charmaiy started jumping in full of joy, Charmaiy showed Jayj how she got the right answer and how she got the right answer. Charmaiy showed Jayj her paper.

And heres how she got the answer:
I drawed 4 negatives and 2 positives squares, and line them up like this, then I have 2 positives so need 2 negatives to make a Zero Pair, and the 2 negatives is left and that would be my answer (-2).

So (-4)+(+2)= -2

Puppy who's name was Woof had a cute little puppy house and a bone. He loved his house and bone so much , he made them clothes and took good care of them. A cat who's name was Meow visited Woof , Meow didn't like what Woof had done with the 2 things. So Meow made everything better. Woof liked what Meow did so he invited Meow to meet his bone and house. Meow fell in love with Woof's sister but he didn't want them to get married cause Woof didn't want to lose her. But Meow ran away with Woof's sister and got married. Meow and his wife had 4 children In,Te,Ge, and Rs. They all had different languages , Meow couldn't understand what they were saying. Meow begged Woof for help but Woof said he wouldn't help him but since its his brother in law so he did help him. Woof told Meow to listen to what his children were saying and solve the problems. First he listened to In , In said " googoogaagaa (+4) + (-3) googoo gaagaa" Meow then thought he said (+4) + (-3) then he solved it like this - have 4 owe 3 , " i have 4 and i owe 3 , that means i only have 1 left! " he said , and he solved it and he understood what In was saying. " If you can answer this (+4) + (-3) you will understand me" . Now he needs to go listen to what Te was saying. " dadadada (+10) + (-5) dadadada" Te said. Then Meow thought he could solve it easier! so he did another method.

So he did this! he drew a line and wrote 0 in the middle and he made 1 line on the right of 0 (+1) then he made 3 lines to the left he past 0 and go to (-1) and then he said " Thats it! (-1) is the answer!" then he understood what Ge said , same as his brothers. Now for the final question , Meow went over to see Rs. Rs said " qwerty (+1) + (-1) asdfg" Meow solved it pretty fast , then answer was 0 now Meow went over to Rs said " Congratulations Meow you have proven that you are the chosen one to create the world" Rs said. "What? what do you mean??" Meow replied. " Meow , me and my brothers are 1 , we are the IN-TE-GE-RS , Integers, now go create the world a peaceful place! " Meow then became the God of Integers and they all happily live forever

Simrans's Integer Story

Once upon a time there was a young girl named Lucy Lou. She was taking a little walk in the woods . Suddenly the Lucy heard a noise in the scary dark part of the woods. There was a object and the object was nothing like she saw before. It had more then one arm and had red eyes, at least she thought they were eyes. So she was intrigued , she approached the object and there it was an evil goblin. The goblin said to her that the only way he wouldn't eat her is if she answered this question...

I can answer that! Said Lucy.

" Your right". Said the goblin in shock. " I guess I won't eat you". So Lucy kept walking, but was speeding up because she didn't want to run into someone or something else. Then Lucy felt something hit her. It was rock, but not a ordinary rock it had something green inside of it. All of a sudden a kitten came out of the bush and started to shake. Lucy was confused and went to go and pick up the kitten. Until the kitten transformed to a giant green monster cat. The monster cat said to Lucy " what is a young girl like you doing in the woods"?. Lucy was to scared to answer and just stood there silently. The monster cat said I will let you pass if you answer this question....



"I'm going to use a number line " said Lucy.

"That's right" said the monster cat I guess I will let you pass. Now Lucy was really scared. So she started running to get out of the woods. Then a boy about her age ran into her. " My name is Sam" said the boy. He asked Lucy why she was running , but Lucy was still shaking and to afraid to answer . Then Lucy said that she was running because there are monsters in the woods. Sam didn't believe what Lucy said and laughed. Lucy wasn't happy that he didn't believe her and she left, but Sam followed. Then Lucy heard someone calling her name. Lucy thought it was Sam and said go away Sam. Then Sam came running and said " did you just call me". " You called me first said Lucy. Then someone with a weird voice said I called your name. Lucy and Sam were both scared and tried to run away until and orange and yellow vampire stopped them. "I've been waiting to find you" said the vampire. I won't suck your blood if you answer this question...


" This ones tricky I think we should use algebraic tiles". Said Sam.


The vampire was shocked that they got the right answer but let them pass anyways. "See there are monsters in the woods" said Lucy. Sam was too shocked to reply to Lucy, so they continued walking through the woods. They didn't speak the whole way until Sam said to Lucy before they took their last step to get out of the woods that he was the purpose for all of the monsters trying to attack Lucy. Lucy was shocked and said " I should have known". Then Sam turned into a monster dragon and said "since I'm behind all of this you probably have to get through me to leave ". " So the only way I'm going to let you leave if you answer this question"....

Lucy quickly said -8, but Sam didn't let her pass.

Part 2

Lucy stood there confused, because she thought that she got the answer right. " Why aren't you letting me pass"! Yelled Lucy. Sam didn't answer. Slowly same got out of the way and let Lucy pass. Lucy ran out of the woods in relief. As Lucy was running towards her house she noticed that their was a shadow following her. So she ran faster, until a weird looking thing was standing in front of her. Lucy was afraid and tried to escape. Lucy was in tears and shouted at the creature to leave her alone. The weird creature said to Lucy that the only way she would pass was to answer this question ......



Lucy was terrified she thought that you couldn't subtract integers. But she quickly remembered that you change the question sign to addition and add the opposite


The creature was surprised but let her go anyways. Now Lucy was sprinting to get home. She finally arrived at home and saw someone on the rocking chair. She didn't know who it was since her mom was at work. She walked up to the rocking chair and sitting in the hair was her grandmother. Lucy was in shock since her grandmother had passed away 2 years ago. " grandma ", Lucy said.
"Yes dear".
"How... did you get here"?
Then all of a sudden her grandmother transformed form into a giant evil robot. " Do you till want to know how I got here", said her grandmother. Lucy didn't know how to believe that her dead grandmother turned into a giant evil robot.her grandmother said"this will be that last question of this journey if you answer it right...


Lucy screamed -2. Her grandmother slowly disappeared into wherever and Lucy jumped on the couch and sat there in complete shock for the rest of her life, well at lest till her mom got home.
