Here I want to show you how to do some of our homework for today and this are the question that Mr. Harbeck gave us:

In this one the hypotenuse is the 50 and the leg a is number 30 we had to find what was the letter b: there in the picture a square + b square = c square
then b square + 30 square = 50 square and
b square then you cancel the 30 square in the left side then 50 - to the square that you cancel in the other side and b square = 50 * 50 - 30*30
b2 = 2500 - 900
b2=1600
b=40 or the square root of 1600 is the number 40

This question is the same i the other one you had to put always the formula which is a square + b square = c square then solve the problem b square + 6 square =10 square , then cancel the 6 square then you had to minus the 6 square to the 10 square and this what will be it look like b2 = 10*10 -6*6,b2=100-36 and b2= 64 and the root of the number 64 is 8 so the b is number 8

In this picture my work is the same to the other 2 we had to find the letter b
A2+B2 =C2,then b2 + 17 square which is the letter a
b square = 32*32-17*17
b2=1024-289 then we subtract the 1024 to the 289which is 735 then we had to find which was the root of the number 735 and this is 27.11 or b=27.11

and this is my scribe pls! leave a comment and pls! be understandable sorry for my mistakes

Pythagorean Theorem or Pythagoras Theory

(question)How can we use the vocabulary to help explain the artifacts?

(answer)To define all the terms in this theorem

The vocabulary words :
Legs-the legs is the letter's a and b.This legs are in the or the short side beside the R.A.T.

Hypotenuse-the hypotenuse was the letter c which is the longest side of the triangle.

R.A.T- R.A.T means the right angle of the triangle. The R.A.T and the hypotenuse were opposite so when you turn the triangle in whatever side you want you will get or you will know where the hypotenuse are.
This square show you the right angle the square had a 4 90 degree angle so the square is 360 degree angle because the side of the square is 4 each side is 90 degree so 4 times to 90 degree is 30 degree.

Greek-Pythagoras the inventor of the Pythagorean theorem or he invented the Pythagoras theory.

Theorem- To prove how to figure out what they were doing.

In Pythagoras Theory there is a sum of the squares of legs(two legs) that is the letters a and b of the right triangle equals the square of the hypotenuse which is the letter c.

The formula is:

When we let the letter c will be the length of the hypotenuse while the letter's a and b will be the length of the other two sides the Pythagoras theorem can be expressed like these equation:

When the letter c was already given and the one of the other legs should be found,in the following equations we can used the following equations are the converse on the other original equation

The mystery man's name is Pythagoras he was born between 580 and572 BC and he died between 500 and 490 BC was an Ionian Greek Mathematician and founder of the religious movement called Pythagoreanism He is often revered as a great mathematician, mystic and scientist; however some have questioned the scope of his contributions to mathematics and natural philosophy.

Pythagoras was best known for the Pythagorean Theorem, which is bears his name. He was also known as the father of numbers, he made some the influential contributions to philosophy and the religious teaching in the late 6th century BC.

Here are some image to show the 1st proof and the second proof to prove that the invention of Pythagoras was right.

proof#1

And in this one the 2nd proof

In this picture it only shows that when you combine the a square and the b square you always had a c square.

While in this image I show you the word problem#1

And now I want to show you how to do the homework that Mr. Harbeck want us to do and I will explain very well I will try my best.
we had to know what was the perimeter in every side first

a square is equal to s square because the square had the cm at this time so we had to find the side of the four triangle so 225=s square then 225=s square and 15=s or s=15
the sides of the square are equal to legs of b
s=a=b so a=15 and b=15 then we had to find the c or the c is equal to? and we had to show the formula a2+b2=c2 so (15)2+(15)2=c2 or 15 square +15 square=c square or (15*15)+(15*15)=c square then we answer the 15*15+15*15 is equal to 225+225=c then we add 225+225 is 450=c square so we had to find the square root of 450 which is 21.21=C or C=21.21 then perimeter is equal to (15+21.21)+(15+21.21)+(15+21.21)+(15+21.21) then the perimeter is 144.84 0r P=144.84 or P=4(15)+4(21.21)
P=60+84.84
P=144.84

Here are the videos that we did in our math class watch I hope you enjoy and I hope you learn something what we did thank you:

This afternoon we are and our teacher told us about The Great Big Book of Algebra
other years this was called a Growing Post. And this year Mr. H. called it The Great Big Book of Algebra. It's inspiration came from the cartoon named Stanley Tiger Tales.

The Great Big Book of Algebra
In this activity Mr. H. said that we have to write 5 integers poems. The poems were:
  • Adding Integers
  • Subtracting integers
  • Partitive Division
  • Quotative Division and The "Rule for Multiplying" integers(Ron's rule,Pratt's law and Mel's Rockpile)
This activity was due on Friday December the 5th this activity must be published and not be save in draft. And we should have the all materials to complete this assignment.

You should have a three types of poetry in the first chapter and these are :

Haiku: Haiku was the type of Japanese poetry and it combines with form, content, and language that is meaningful, yet it compact form.Other themes have nature, feelings,or experiences.Haiku poetry has a three lines in length. In first line their are 5 syllables and in the second line their are 7 syllables in the third line is also 5 syllables.

Tanka: And Tanka was also a type of Japanese poetry, and Tanka is almost like an extension of Haiku poetry. And the Tanka was a 5 lines poem.

Line 1 and line 3 are 5 syllables.And the lines 2,4 and 5 are 7 syllables.

Cinquian: Cinquian are 5 lines in length. And the Cinquian poems have a two main forms.
Ex. #1:
Line 1:One word topic (noun)
Line 2:Two describing words (adjectives)
Line 3: Three action words (verbs)
Line 4:A four-word phrase
Line5:A synonym or equivalent for the topic

Ex.2:
Line1:Topic (2 syllable word or words)
Line2:4 syllables describing topic
Line3:6 syllables expressing action
Line4:8 syllables describing feeling
Line5:2 syllables-a synonym for the topic

Free verse poetry was free from the other rules in poetry. And the poet may use a rhyming words but the poem does not have to rhyme.A Free Verse poem may be just written in a sentence that was artistically laid out on page or pages of words.Free verse forms are separate,or split, phrases and it should have a words between the lines. And the punctuation absent or it can be use to place emphasis on specific words. The object of the Free verse Is to use colorful words ,puntuation, and word placement to convey meaning to the reader.

Picture:A picture poem, is a poem made of letters or words which created in actual picture, form on the page.Like when your subject was a kite and the picture should be like a kte or a symbol like a kite.

Diamante:Diamante is an Italian word that in the english was diamond. The poetic form takes the shape of diamante when it's complete. And this type of poem has a 7 lines.
There are 2 types of pattern to choose from.In the first one it develops one topic only.
And in the part 2 starts out with one theme and in the middle begins to move toward to an opposite theme.
PATTERN ONE:
Line 1:Choose a topic (noun)
Line2:Use to describing words (adjectives)
Line3:Use 3 action words (verbs)
Line4:Use a four-word phrase capturing some feeling about the topic
Line5:Use three action words (verbs)
Line6: Use two describing words(adjectives)
Line 7: Use a synonym for an ending word(noun)

PATTERN TWO:
Line1:Choose a noun as your title and an opposite word (an antonym) for the ending word of your poem
Line2: Use two adjectives(describing words) for the title (line1)
Line 3: Use three verbs (action words or ``ing`` words for the title
Line 4: Use two words to express the title noun - then two words to express the opposite ending noun. The theme changes in this line.
Line5: Choose three action words for the ending noun
Line7: Use one word-the antonym (opposite)you decided upon in line one

This ends chapter one.Good luck!!! to us and have a happy poetry writing
