Adding fraction:

Mario is training for the track team. he ran 4 1/4 miles on monday, 5 9/10 miles on wednesday,

about how far he run altogather in two days?

1) 4 1/4 + 5 9/10

= 17/4 + 59/10

= 170/40 + 236/40

= 406/40

= 203/20

= 1 3/20

2) 1 1/8 + 1/2

= 9/8 + 1/2

= 18/16 + 8/16

= 26/16

= 13/8

Subtracting Fraction:

A big burger has 1/4 pound of meat. A super burger has 1/3 pound of meat. How much more meat is used for the super burger?

1) 1/3 - 1/4

= 4/12 - 3/12

= 1/12

2) 3/4 - 3/8

= 24/32 - 12/32

= 12/32

= 3/8

Multiplying Fraction :

1) One week Kristi work 3 day at a department store for 3 1/2 each day. She was paid $9 a hour.
how many hours did Kristi work that week?

3 1/2 x 3
= 3 x 2 + 1 = 7/2 x 3 = 21/2 = 10 1/2

2) A sailboat is sailing at 8 1/2 km. If the weather condition and the current do not change, how far will the sailboat travel in 11/3 hour?

8 1/2 x 1 1/3
= 8 x 2 + 1= 17 3 x 1 + 1 = 4

17/2 x 4/3 = 68/6
= 11 2/6

Dividing Fraction:

1) 12/5 / 3/2
= 24/5
= 1 15/9
= 1 5/3

2) 9 1/6 / 11/1
= 55/6 / 11/1
= 55/66
= 5/6

Adding and subtracting mixed numbers:

1) 1 1/2 + 1 3/4

= 3/2 + 7/4

= 12/8 + 14/8

= 26/8 = 13/4 = 3 1/4

2) 7 1/6 + 15 7/9

= 43/6 + 142/9

= 387/54 + 852/54

= 1239/54 = 23 3/54

3) (7/8 - 1/4) + 1/2

= (28/32 - 8/32) + 1/2

= 20/32 = 5/8 + 1/2

= 10/16 + 8/16

= 18/16 = 9/8

4) 5/6 - 4/9

= 45/54 - 24/54

= 21/54

We had a math quiz about algebra. We had 10 question and those questions are very easy. I want to share four questions with u, here is my scribe and I also show you how I solve those questions with verify.

My four questions are:

2.
2n - 9 = - 29
2n + 9 = - 29 + 9
2n = -20
2n/2 = - 20/2
n = - 10
2n - 9 = - 29
2(-10) - 9 = - 29
- 20 - 9 = - 29
- 29 = - 29

3.
- 4n + 16= 4
-4n - 16 = 4 - 16
- 4n = -12
-4n /-4 = -12/-4
n = 3
-4n +16 =4
-4(3) + 16 =4
-12 +16 =4
4 =4

5.
n/-5 +17 =-3
n/-5 -17 =-3 -17
n/-5 =-20
(-5)n/-5=-20(-5)
n =100
n/-5 +17 =-3
100/-5 +17=-3
-20 +17 =-3
-3 = -3

6.
12n +25 = -35
12n -25 = -35 -25
n = -60
12n/12 = -60/12
n =-5
12n +25 =-35
12(-5) +25 =-35
-60 +25 = -35
-35 = -35

so, those are the question I want to share with u. Isn't it easy!

Please leave your comments behind. thanks for reading my scribe.

Haiku poem (adding, and subtracting)

Positive numbers
and a negative numbers,
is cancelled eachother.

Tanka (partitive division, and multiplying rules)

Division numbers,
Positive and negative
will be negative
multiplication numbers
with zero gives always zero.

Picture poem (quatative division)

have a
number
divided
with a
number.

partitive rules and quatative rules

when we have a big number
it can divided by a number
we know it is a quatative division number
when we have a partitive division
we can't divide but we can shared a number from a number.

we learn in math class about integers. Positive and about negative integers. First we learn how to add integers, here some example for positive integer, first we have to know something
(+) + (-) = (-)
(-) + (-) = (+)
(+) + (+) = (+)

some example for positive integers

(+3) + (+9) = (+12)

(+5) + (+5) = (+10)

(+2) +( 4) = (+6)

(+4) + (+9) =(+13)

and then we do more positive integer

earn 30 doller lose 5 doller = left (+25) or 25 doller

have 5 orange lost 2 orange = left 3 orange

then we lern about how to draw integers time line I will show you time line pictures after first I want to show you how can we subtract integers, some example are

(-5) - (-9)

=(-5) + (+9) = (+4)

(-8) - (+6)

=(-8) + (-6) = (-14)

(-2) - (0)

= (-2)

Now I want talk about 0 pairs, some example for 0 pairs

(-6) + (+6) = (0)

(+100) + ( -100) = (0)

(+1000) + (-1000)= (0)

we did stenderd form in integers like

-2 -9 =-11

=+6 -7 = -1

-6 +2 - (-2)+ 3

=-6 +2 + (+2) +3

=-6 +7

=+1

we had quiz about negative and positive integers, like

(+9) + (+6) = (+15)

(+2) + (0) - (-4)

(+2) + (0) + (+4)

(+6)

(-5) - (-5)

= (-5) + (+5)

= (0)

(+6) + (+9) - (-4) - (-8)

=(+6) + (+9) + (+4) + (+8)

=(+27)

more about integers

rises 3 degree drop 2 degree = left 1degree

have 50 books give a friend 10 books = left 40 books

now I want to talk about time line, how can we add integers in time line

(+2) + (+1) = (+3) in time line

Once upon a time there was a boy whose name was Negative. He used to go to Green Leaf School. There was another boy who was in the same school. His name was Positive. Negative always think negatively and that's why he never had any friends. On the other hand Positive had lots of friends. He would always try to help others. When he saw that negative always stayed alone, he told Negative to be his friend. Since Negative didn't trust anybody, he thought Positive was not a good boy. He thought he could not trust Positive. So, he refused positive. He told him if he answer this question, he will think about itthen the negative bot say yes, now we are friends. Very soon the exam is begain. positive boy try to make a good result. The positive boy want to help the negative boy because the negative boy is not good in math. If he try to help the negative boy he have to give a answer for this integers question! The positive boy thought yes he have to do it right.

when he did it right, His teacher said, "yes you can help your friend but you have to make a good result for yourself, Then positive boy asked "what i have to do". Then the teacher said ,"wait for the tommorow morning",but the positive boy not scared for the exam he thought he have to make a good result. Next morning teacher asked him some question. If he answerd the questions correctly, then he will pass. Those questions are:

the positive boy always want to be a doctor in his future. His parents dream saw haim a good doctor. Positive boy wants to be a doctor for his parents and for peopls help. He want to be a dentist. If he want to be a positive dentist, then he have to give this answer:
