mean
  • put raw data into ascending order
  • sum of all data, devided by the number of data
  • if you have an outlier it changes the mean

median

  • put raw data into ascending order
  • find the middle number

  • its the best way to find the average of the data if there is an outlier
  • if you havetwo middle number you have to add the two middle number and devide it by 2

  • put raw data into ascending order
  • find the most occuring number
  • you can have more than one mode
  • you can have no mode
  • put raw data into ascending order
  • lagrest data minus the smallest data

  • if there is a large range check if mean is the best way to find the average
