Today in class we have discussed the Division of Integers. We talked about quadrants.

We also learned that there are 3 ways to write division statement.



To make division easier to understand there are two ways we can use the Quotative and Partitive.

Example:
12 ÷4= 3


Quotative




How many fours are there in twelve.
We have to circle three groups of four.

Partitive
How many equal parts are in four groups if we have 12.
We have to circle four groups of three.
12÷4=3
to check your answer
3×4=12
For the next Scribe I choose Christian.

Good Job! But you talked about the wrong quadrant because we were doing questions from quadrant 2, like negative and positive, you also had a couple of grammar mistakes. But that's all. :)

Nice job Lance, but your first picture is kinda hard to see and you had a few grammer mistakes but otherwise it was a nice explanation of what we did!

Good job Lance. But I also agree with Simran and Kara, about the grammar mistakes and the pictures not being very clear. Although, I liked how you explained Quotative and Partitive. Good job!

good job! I especially like how you showed the different ways to write division and show that it is in fraction form. I know this is lots of times a place where people mix up which number goes where and end up with an answer that is way off.

I agree with them.I liked your information but put more though. And your pictures are good but I can't really see the circles. Also you put the multiplicative inverse, good job!

I like how you used both a real picture, and then ones your created on the computer in your post. You did a really good job of explaining division of fractions. I am sure this will help your fellow classmates!

good job lance you did a great job but you need to listen to harbeck because you did the wrong quadrant.
