Today in class had a quiz about algebra. Here some example of what we did.

1). To simplify this transposing method should be used.

Always remember that variables are to the left and constant are to the right and signs will be changed.

Example:

5X+9=X-23

Variable x will be transposed to the right side of the equation and it will become -x. Constant 9 will be moved to the left side and it will become -9.

We we have 4x=-32 and to simplify this we have to divide both sides of the equation by 4 which will give us -8.

2).10b-45=3(b-15

First we have to simplify the right side of the equation using the distributive property of multiplication.

We have 3(b-15). This means that factor 3 will be multiplied to each terms inside the brackets. From here we have to use the transposing method.

Always remember that variables are to left and constants are to the right.

gOOD JOB BUT YOU HAVE A FEW MISTAKES THERE LIKE THE TRANSPOSING METHOD: REMEMBER WHAT MR HARBECK SAID "NUMBERS ON THE LEFT LETTERS ON THE RIGHT":) YOU SHOULD REMEMBER THAT!!

Great job Any! I like all of your pictures, it was explained well! You made a few errors like Christian and Shaine said. But overall your scribe was great! Nice job!
